No book is really worth reading at age of ten which is not equally (and often far more) worth reading at the age of fifty...Those of us who are blamed when old for reading childish books were blamed when children for reading books too old for us. No reader worth his salt trots along in obedience to a timetable. (C.S. Lewis)

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise. (F. Scott Fitzgerald)

Some useless information about me:

I like socks. Fuzzy varieties, any with stupid things on them, stripey. You name them I probably want them. Gifts of socks are always welcome. ;) For all the pairs of shoes I own, I'd rather be barefoot any day (unless I've got a pair of clean socks lying around). It may have something to do with after wearing them (and they usually have at least a 2 inch heel) all the time, I feel short when I take them off. I rarely get to feel short, it is kinda nice on occasion.
